Russell Westbrook’s first signature shoe continues to drop in a variety of colorways. This week, Jordan is dropping the Air Jordan Why Not Zero.1 Bred. This classic colorway is paying respect to the Air Jordan Heritage. Are you planning to cop a pair of these, or are these a pass for you???
What Is The Air Jordan Why Not Zero.1???
The Air Jordan Why Not Zero.1 is the first signature shoe of OKC Thunder’s Point Guard, Russell Westbrook. It has made it’s debut back in January 2018. It has a mixture of mesh, foam, and full-length zoom air features. This sneaker was inspired by such Team Jordan classics such as the Team J, Camp 23, and Super Freak by Randy Moss. It even features a shroud upper that covers the shoe laces, just like them. Westbrook’s PE logo and motto: Why Not? also appears on the sneaker as well, located on the strap of the shoe. Westbrook needed some added stability to the sole unit to minimize response when he makes one of his quick twitches to the basket, as he is always playing on his toes. He has worked with his team’s equipment manager, Wilson Taylor, and the Jordan Brand design team, in order to go through some wear-testing rounds to come up with the perfect fit for him. Each colorway is said to be inspired by stories of Westbrook’s life. The original retail price for these is $125.00.
Features Of The Shoe
This sneaker is basically keeping things simple. It features an overall of black covering the majority of the sneaker. Finally, touches of red are located on the outsole, Jumpman logo on the upper, Russell’s initials on the shoe strap, and we can’t forget about the lace locks as well.
These sneakers are releasing on March 1st, for retailing at $125.00. Are you planning to make a purchase?? Then the first of the month is just around the corner.
